Terms of Use
1. Who runs this site
srilankaspaceresearch.com ("the site") is operated by MADITECH LLC ("MADITECH", "we", "us"), a private company. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1A. A private project, not a government body
Sri Lanka Space Research is a private project of MADITECH LLC, a company based in Washington State, USA. It is not a government body, a space agency or a regulator. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the Government of Sri Lanka, the Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies (ACCIMT), the United States government, or any other government or agency. We cannot issue licences, permits, approvals or authorisations of any kind, and we cannot represent you, or speak for any government, in dealings with a public authority. Where this site describes Sri Lankan space research, that research is the published work of the institutions and researchers named, not ours. Sending us an enquiry does not create a partnership, agency or advisory relationship. Any working relationship begins only when both sides sign a written agreement.
2. Using the site
You may view and use the site for lawful purposes. Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or the systems behind it, and do not use it to send spam or harmful code.
3. The content
The site's text, design and code belong to MADITECH unless stated otherwise. Names and marks of other organizations belong to their owners; mentioning them does not mean they endorse or are affiliated with us. The research brief builder gives general suggestions. The information on the site is general information, may change without notice, and is not professional, legal, financial, academic or investment advice. Funding schemes named on the site are run by their own bodies, which set their own rules and make their own decisions.
4. What you send us
If you send us a message or a research brief through the site, you are responsible for what it contains. Do not send anything unlawful or anything you do not have the right to share. Sending a brief does not give us any rights to your research idea. How we handle what you send is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Links to other sites
The site links to websites we do not control, including the ACCIMT and NSF pages cited as sources. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
6. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, MADITECH and its owners, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. This limit does not apply to liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, and nothing in these terms limits any consumer right you have that the law does not allow to be waived.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
9. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new version date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
